Iligan City or also called as City of Majestic Waterfalls is a highly urbanized city located in northeastern coast of Mindanao, surrounded by the towns of Baloi and Linamon of Lanao del Norte on the south, the Iligan Bay on the west, the town of Lugait of Misamis Oriental on the north and the land of Lanao del Sur and Bukidnon on the east. It has a population of 363,269 people and subdivided into 44 barangays.
Every month of September, Iliganons celebrates Diyandi Festival and the feast day of Saint Michael the Archangel, regarded as the patron saint of the beloved city and is held every 29th of September, the actual feast day of the Archangel.
Kasadya Street Dancing is the highlight of the event and it is the Iliganon's ritual dance offered to the patron saint as thanksgiving.
Senior San Miguel is the Spanish version of Saint Michael the Archangel. Devotion to him is common to Christians and Muslims in Iligan City as he is mentioned in the sacred scriptures both the Bible and the Qur'an.

Mount Agad-Agad has an estimated height of 1,600 ft above the sea level and is approximately 5.5 kilometers away from the city proper. It is also safe for camping, trekking and mountain climbing. It has a full view of Iligan City by day or night.
Paseo de Santiago is a park located in Barangay Santiago, Iligan City. At weekends, this park was filled with Filipino families that only wants to just enjoy and relax.
Anahaw Open Amphitheater is the biggest open amphitheater in Mindanao located at the Buhanginan Hills st Barangay Palao. It is also the venue for the "Kasadya" street dancing showdown competition.
NPC Nature's Park is the Iligan city's first zipline located in Barangay Fuentes, Maria Cristina. The Nature's Park constructed in three phases with a wide variety of attractions. Phase I has an orchidarium, a wishing well, a viewing decks along the banks of the Agus River, a bat farm, a crocodile park and a grotto in honor of Our Lady of Lourdes. Phase II features a mini zoo, a hanging bridge, a trekking site, a children's park and has cottages and sheds. Phase III involves a site for rock and wall climbing, fishing grounds, cable car stations with viewing decks and has special areas for kayak rides and white-water rafting.
